# What You'll Need:

→ Lavender Syrup

01 - 1/2 cup water
02 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
03 - 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender buds

→ Lemonade Base

04 - 3/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (approximately 4 to 5 lemons)
05 - 1/4 cup honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
06 - 2 cups cold water

→ Purple Infusion

07 - 1/2 cup 100% pure grape juice
08 - 1/2 cup butterfly pea flower tea, cooled (optional, enhances purple hue)

→ Garnish

09 - Lemon slices
10 - Fresh lavender sprigs or mint leaves
11 - Ice cubes

# How to Make It:

01 - Combine water, granulated sugar, and dried lavender buds in a small saucepan. Bring to a gentle simmer while stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat, cover, and let steep for 10 minutes. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer to remove the lavender buds and allow it to cool.
02 - Add freshly squeezed lemon juice, honey or agave syrup, and cold water into a pitcher. Stir thoroughly to ensure the sweetener is fully dissolved.
03 - Pour the cooled lavender syrup and pure grape juice into the lemonade base. Stir until well combined. For a deeper purple color, gently add cooled butterfly pea flower tea and observe the transformation.
04 - Fill serving glasses with ice cubes, pour the purple lemonade refresher, and garnish each glass with lemon slices, fresh lavender sprigs or mint leaves.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The color-changing magic is guaranteed to spark conversation and delight.
  • Even unloved rainy days become a treat with this refreshingly tart and floral drink.
02 -
  • Straining the lavender thoroughly keeps your syrup clear and prevents any stray buds from floating in your drink.
  • Letting the syrup cool completely before mixing keeps the lemonade crisp and prevents melting the ice too fast.
03 -
  • Use cool, filtered water for the lemonade base; tap water sometimes dulls the flavor.
  • The butterfly pea flower infusion transforms the color in a second—pour it in last for the most dramatic effect.
